ADA Compliance
County's Goal to Ensure Accessibility
It is the goal of the Plumas County government to ensure accessibility to all county programs and facilities for the citizens of Plumas County, including meeting all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and California law.

Recent Projects
Since the act was signed into law, Plumas County has made continual strides towards ensuring accessibility to all county programs and services. In the past several years there have been a number of construction projects that have removed architectural barriers to our facilities. Some of these projects have gone as far as total replacement of the Courthouse Annex with a new Health and Human Services Center, as well as a new animal shelter and a new one-stop permit center.

Filing a Complaint
The purpose of the ADA grievance procedure is to resolve as promptly as possible any problems, complaints, or conflicts related to the county’s ADA compliance without the need for the complainant to resort to other remedies available under the law.

When filing a complaint, the county will make every reasonable effort to ensure that confidentiality is maintained throughout the complaint and investigation process, to the extent consistent with the law, adequate investigation, and appropriate corrective action.
