According to California Government Code Sections 3100-3109, all public employees are designated as Disaster Service Workers. In Plumas County, all county employees take an oath of affirmation to ensure the county has the resources and readiness to help protect public health and safety and to protect lives and property during disasters or emergencies.
In addition, volunteers with special skills, abilities, and training can also provide assistance during a disaster. To help, complete the
volunteer disaster service worker registration form and contact the Office of Emergency Services for more information.
