PCHPA Clinic staff manage the Vaccines For Children (VFC) Program and Adult Vaccine Program (317), order vaccines from the IZ branch after inventory is correctly provided, follow strict storage/handling of all vaccines for state and private vaccines, monitor school vaccination levels and report to the state. Staff is also updated on any changes in vaccination recommendations, provide flu vaccines free to the public, provide children's required vaccines as required by law, inform and educate the public on the importance of immunizations, and monitor childcare facilities for vaccine compliance as required by law. They visit sites that may not be compliant or may need assistance with new staff, provide information to local clubs (i.e. Rotary, Lions), provide flu vaccine in the schools, attend yearly IZ Coordinators Conference (required per grant), provide the state with quarterly reports as required, input IZ into CAIR (online IZ registry), inform local providers and staff regarding changes or updates to CAIR, and collaborate with the school nurse for compliance on immunization rates.
