If you are asymptomatic (no symptoms) but would like to be tested then attending a mass testing event is appropriate. If there is not a mass testing event available then contact your health care provider to schedule an appointment. Each Health Care Facility has a screening process for COVID-19 appointments and testing.
Plumas County Public Health Agency conducts contact tracing on all positive COVID-19 cases and will contact you if you have been identified as a close contact. The definition of close contact is “someone who was within 6 feet of a person with COVID-19 for at least 15 minutes over a 24-hour period starting from 2 days before symptoms appeared (or, for patients who do not have symptoms, 2 days prior to their test) until the time the patient is isolated. If you have not been contacted by Public Health but still believe you are a close contact to a positive case, call the Plumas County Public Health Clinic at (530) 283-6330.
Our nurses and contact tracers are extremely busy. Please be patient and leave a message if necessary, someone will get back to you in a timely manner. If you feel you have been exposed, please self-quarantine until you are contacted and given the next steps.
