Plumas County is the administrative lead for a five-county system of HIV care. The goal of the Mountain Counties HIV/AIDS programs is to make sure that a client will have access to available quality medical care and support services. Meeting this goal creates a system of care that best suits the needs of a client. Here are listed the comprehensive services our programs can provide:

  • Medical Care, Laboratory, and diagnostic services / Free HIV testing
  • Specialty Care
  • Dental and Vision Care
  • Related Medications and supplies
  • Case Management
  • Drug Reimbursement and Health Insurance Assistance
  • Mental Health Therapy
  • Substance Use Treatment
  • Health Counseling and Advocacy including medical and social service information and advocacy with services providers
  • Benefits Planning and Counseling
  • Health Education and Risk Reduction information
  • Nutrition Assessment and Counseling
  • Transportation
  • Necessities Assistance, including Food and Housing

The Mountain Counties HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Programs provide the bridge between primary and specialty care, community support, education, and prevention programs.
