The third segment, also on Big Creek Road, starts approximately 7.7 miles east of the Big Creek Road/Bucks Lake Road intersection at Buck's Lake and proceeds 1.1 miles east and north. This segment includes pavement rehabilitation, a mechanically stabilized retaining wall, and some drainage improvements.

Construction of mechanical stabilized retaining wall is progressing and nearing completion

The mechanical stabilized wall consists of two foot lifts of welded wire face retaining reinforcement.

The retaining wall has been completed. Project completion will come next year with repaving this area as well as paving some other areas on Big Creek Road.
