How long does it take to obtain a building permit?: A complete submittal (all required documents, engineering, signatures, and planning / zoning requirements) will take an average of 2-4 weeks. Any corrections or revisions will add additional time. The length of the process also depends on the timely and accurate response of your design professionals.

2. How far in advance do I have to schedule an inspection?: Please schedule your inspection 1-2 days in advance. Outlying areas such as La Porte, Frenchman, Vinton, and Dixie Valley are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursday.
