Solid Waste Franchise Contracts History and Revisions

Public Works staff has prepared the first draft of the replacement solid waste franchise contracts. Wide-spread initial distribution of the draft documents was completed by May 12, 2011. To view the distributed document, go to the following link:

Opportunities for general public comment on the initial draft contracts occurred as follows:

May 17, 2011 meeting of the Plumas County Board of Supervisors.
May 26, 2011 meeting of the Plumas County Integrated Waste Management Task Force.
June 21, 2011 meeting of the Plumas County Board of Supervisors.
June 25, 2011 meeting of the Plumas County Board of Supervisors.

On June 20, 2011, one of the solid waste franchise contractors, Feather River Disposal, Inc., submitted comments for the May 18^th draft contract directly on the contract. On June 17, 2011, one of the solid waste franchise contractors, InterMountain Disposal, Inc., submitted comments for the May 18^th draft contract.
