Supervisorial Redistricting Overview

Plumas County is beginning the process to redraw the boundaries of the county’s five supervisorial districts. Redistricting takes place every 10 years after the federal census, when district boundaries for federal, state, and local elected offices are redrawn to reflect new population data and shifting populations. District lines can shape a community’s ability to elect the representative of their choice, so it’s important to get it right. That’s why residents are encouraged to provide input on what kind of boundaries should be drawn to best represent their community. For Plumas County, the redistricting process will be completed by December 7, 2021.
