How to Return Your Ballot

After you have finished voting your ballot, place it in the blue ballot return envelope.

Make sure you sign your ballot and write your physical address in the appropriate spots.

Do not peel off the privacy tab. But if you do, you may still return your ballot by taping the privacy tab back on or leaving it off, whatever makes you feel more comfortable.

Seal your blue ballot return envelope with your voted ballot inside.

You may:

  1. Place your sealed blue ballot return envelope in the mail, postage is pre-paid (ballots placed inside the mail must be postmarked by election day and received within 7 days after election day).
  2. Place your sealed blue ballot return envelope in the Ballot Drop-Box located outside the Quincy Courthouse (ballots returned in-person must be returned by 8 pm on elections night).
  3. Place your sealed blue ballot return envelope in the Ballot Drop-Box located inside the Plumas County Elections Division office at the Quincy Courthouse (ballots returned in-person must be returned by 8 pm on elections night).
