Land Use

Environmental Health works in conjunction with several other regulatory and planning agencies, such as Planning and Building Services, Engineering and Public Works for land use project review. Environmental Health's component of this process is to evaluate the proposed potable water supply and sewage disposal facilities serving new developments. The Land Use Program helps ensure today's development is sustainable into the future.  The Board of Supervises has updated Chapter 11 of Title 6 of Plumas County Code to comply with the statewide on-site wastewater treatment system (OWTS) regulations.
